<< Back To FAQ's When I pedal fast, or for a long time, I notice that the hub gets really hot - why is that?   This is normal and is caused by the resistance setting. The resistance is actually creating friction between the hub and the axle of the Pedlar®, which builds up heat that is trapped inside the hub.
